v0 by Vercel generates Next.js and shadcn/ui code that looks finished, but production needs more than the UI: real authentication, database access rules, environment variables on Vercel, verified Stripe webhooks, and server-side checks. What a v0 prototype usually still needs

Real auth. Mock users or client-only checks replaced with a provider (Supabase Auth, Clerk or similar) and protected routes enforced on the server.
Database rules. If the browser talks to Supabase directly, every table needs correct Row Level Security.
Environment variables on Vercel. Only NEXT_PUBLIC_ variables reach the browser, and changes need a redeploy. See NEXT_PUBLIC_ undefined.
Build errors. Prerender errors, dynamic server usage and client hooks in Server Components. See prerender error and DynamicServerError.
Function limits. Long API calls can hit FUNCTION_INVOCATION_TIMEOUT.
