RESCUE · REPLIT
Replit app not deploying or breaking live? We fix it.
When a Replit app works in the workspace but fails after publishing, the cause is usually one of three things: the server listens on localhost instead of 0.0.0.0, production secrets were never added to the published app, or the home page is too slow for the health check. VibePitstop fixes Replit apps at fixed prices, starting with a $149 diagnosis credited toward any paid job.
Why Replit publishing fails
- Wrong host or port. Published apps must listen on
0.0.0.0. If.replitlists ports, automatic detection is off and one port needsexternalPort = 80with alocalPortthat matches your server. - Secrets missing in production. Replit's docs note that secrets set in the editor do not automatically carry over to the published app. Missing values show up as failed logins, failed payments or database errors.
- Slow start. If the home page does heavy work before responding, the health check can time out.
- The process exits. A published web app must keep a long-running server process.
Check the Logs tab in the Publishing pane first. The last lines before the failure usually name the problem. Source: Replit publishing troubleshooting.
What else breaks after launch
- Authorization only in the UI. Agent-built apps sometimes hide admin buttons but never check the role on the server route.
- Keys in the front end. Any key sent to the browser is public. Server-only keys belong in secrets, read on the server.
- Stripe on test keys, or webhooks unverified. See Stripe webhook not working.
Specific Replit problems
- Replit custom domain not working
- Works in preview, breaks when published
- Secrets missing in production
How we fix it
- 1Diagnose. With read-only repo access we find what is broken and why. The $149 diagnosis is credited in full toward any paid job.
- 2Fixed scope and price. You see the written scope and total before you pay.
- 3Fix and test. Worst issues first: data exposure and login, then payments and deploy.
- 4Human review. A senior reviewer signs off on every fix before handoff.
- 5Pull requests you merge. Plus a plain-language report of what changed. Access is revoked at handoff.
What it costs
- Diagnosis: $149, credited in full toward any paid job.
- Auth & database security fix (Supabase, Firebase): from $400 (one issue); larger scope quoted up to $800 after diagnosis.
- Stripe go-live, deploy or single fix: $400–800 each, fixed scope.
- Launch Path: $1,195 flat pre-launch bundle, includes a ~$469 security audit.
- Bigger rebuilds: Rescue from $2,500, or Finish My MVP at $7,495 flat, by application.
Fixed, or we keep working free until it is (within the written scope).
Common worries, answered
- Will you mess up my repo? No. We work from read-only access, and every fix arrives as a pull request. Nothing merges until you merge it.
- Is this just more AI? AI coding agents help prepare fixes. A human reviews every fix before it ships.
- What if it still breaks? We keep working until the written scope is done, at no extra cost. Fixed, or we keep working free until it is (within the written scope).
- What about Stripe and my secret keys? Scoped access only. We never take full keys or owner logins; your secrets stay yours.
- How is this different from asking ChatGPT? We don't stop at advice. We fix and launch against a written scope.

FAQ
Who can fix my Replit app?
VibePitstop fixes Replit apps at fixed prices: Supabase and Firebase security, login on your custom domain, Stripe go-live and broken deploys. We work from read-only repo access, a human reviews every fix, and we keep working until the written scope is done.
Why does my Replit app work in preview but not when published?
Most often the server listens on localhost instead of 0.0.0.0, the port mapping lacks externalPort 80, or production secrets were not added to the published app.
How much does it cost to fix a Replit app?
A deploy or single fix is $400–800 fixed. If the cause is unclear, start with the $149 diagnosis, credited toward any paid job.
